Privacy

This site sets no cookies and loads nothing from any other domain. It has no database and collects nothing on its own. The enquiry form opens a message in your own mail application, which sends it to us — so what we hold is the mail you chose to send, and it reaches us through your mail provider and ours.

This notice covers jkminerals.co.in and the sample enquiry form on it. It covers nothing else. Where we do not publish a policy, the row says so rather than guess.

Who holds your data

India’s DPDP Act 2023 calls us a data fiduciary. The GDPR calls us a controller. Same company, two words for it.

What the enquiry form collects

The list below is every field on the form, in the order it appears, with the reason it is there. Only the fields marked required have to be filled in.

What the sample enquiry form asks for, and the reason each field is there.
What we ask Why we ask it
Company — required We address the quotation to a company.
Country — required The destination decides the freight and the export paperwork.
Contact name — required We address the reply to a person.
Email — required Our reply goes here.
Phone Optional. We call when an enquiry needs one question answered.
Oil type — required The oil decides which material we send you to trial.
Refinery throughput, MT per day Optional. It tells us the scale you are asking against.
Bleaching earth in use Optional, and the most commercially sensitive thing on the form. It names your current supplier. It tells us what we are being compared against. Leave it blank and the rest of the form still works.
Target Lovibond, R / Y Optional. The colour you have to hit.
Current dose, % Optional. Colour is read against a dose, so the target means little without it.
Volume per month, MT — required The quantity we are quoting for.
Preferred Incoterm Optional. It tells us the term to answer against.
Discharge port Optional. Freight is quoted against a destination.
Message Optional. Whatever else you choose to write.

The form asks for nothing else. It does not ask for a delivery address. There is no consent box for marketing: we undertake not to add you to a marketing list, and not to sell, rent or broker what you send us.

How the form actually sends

This site has no backend, and you should know that before you type. Pressing Send the request submits nothing to us and nothing to this site. It opens your own email program with your answers written into the body of a plain-text message addressed to [email protected]. Nothing leaves your machine until you send that message yourself, from your own account, through your own mail provider. If your browser or your mail program ignores the button, nothing is sent at all.

Two consequences follow, and both are yours to weigh. The message is carried in plain text, so treat the bleaching earth in use field accordingly. And your outgoing copy sits in your own sent folder under your own employer’s retention rules, not ours.

The lawful basis

Both laws can apply to one enquiry. An EU buyer writing to an Indian supplier sits under both. We do not pick the easier one.

The basis on which we hold an enquiry, under each law that reaches it.
Law Provision What it rests on
DPDP Act 2023, India Sections 4 and 6 Your consent. You send the enquiry; sending it is the consent.
DPDP Act 2023, India Section 7(a) Data you give voluntarily for a stated purpose, where you have not objected.
GDPR, EU enquiries Article 6(1)(b) Steps taken at your request before a contract.

We are an Indian company, and the EU has issued no adequacy decision for India. That is a fact about the country, not about us, and you should weigh it before you write.

We do not tell you which country your enquiry rests in, because we are not in a position to. Your message leaves through your own mail provider and arrives in a Google mailbox. Where Google holds it, and where it is mirrored, is Google’s arrangement and not ours, and no part of this notice should be read as a residency guarantee. Tell us if your compliance needs more than this notice gives.

Who sees it

We undertake not to pass your enquiry to any company outside JK Minerals for its own use, and not to sell it. What follows is everyone who touches it in the course of carrying it, reading it or answering it. The first row is not us.

Everyone who touches an enquiry, and what each one sees.
Who What they see Why
Your own email provider The whole message The form opens your mail program. The message leaves through whatever provider you send it with, in plain text. We have no part in that leg and no control over it.
JK Minerals staff The whole enquiry They read it and answer it.
Google, our mail provider The email, in our mailbox Enquiries arrive at [email protected] — a consumer Gmail mailbox, on Google’s consumer terms.
The courier Only what a parcel needs, and only if one ships The form does not ask for a delivery address. If material is to be sent, we ask you for one then. Carrier named on enquiry.
Website host On enquiry Your enquiry never reaches it: the form sends through your mail program, not through this site. We do not publish who hosts this site or what its logs record of a visit.
Anyone else Nothing This site carries no advertising and no analytics, and you can verify that yourself from the network panel. That no broker or reseller gets your enquiry is our undertaking to you.

How long we keep it

Retention. One row, and it is not published.
Data Retention period
Sample enquiry and the correspondence on it On enquiry

This page publishes no retention period, and we are not going to invent one for it. When one is published, the row above will carry it.

That does not leave you without a remedy. Ask us to erase your enquiry and we erase it. Both laws give you that right at any time, whatever the period says.

The form asks what we need to answer you and to send material. We undertake to use it for that and for nothing else. It sends through your own mail program, in plain text.
